Bill was an avid gardener and earned the nickname “The Botanist” among his friends. His gardening skills were well known in the neighborhood and beyond. Curious visitors with questions and hope for samplings admired the many varieties of plants. Others came just to contemplate for a few moments.
Many birds and other animals would come together or at various times and present themselves in chosen places in his garden. They knew they would surely receive their favorite foods from Bill. They thanked him with their songs, flights, antics, cooperated with each other, and never caused a problem.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to one’s favorite charity.
