Obituary of Beverly Freedman
Beverly Marilyn Freedman, 89 of Middletown, RI, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 16, 2018 in Danbury, CT.
Beverly was born in Newport RI to Myer and Gertrude Klein on January 29, 1929. Beverly graduated with honors from Rogers High School in Newport, RI. She went on to earn a degree in English at Rhode Island State College (URI). She worked as a school teacher in Middletown, RI. for many years before running the You & Me Levi's Store on Bellevue Avenue. She enjoyed walking, tennis, the Red Sox, Syracuse University basketball and last but not least was devoted to the stock market.
She is survived by her son David, wife Eileen of Brookfield, CT and daughter Deborah Gold of Portsmouth, RI. In addition, she is survived by grandsons Justin Freedman and wife Kara of NYC, Adam Freedman of Boca Rotan, FL, Dr. Alex Gold and wife Erin of New Jersey, Jason Gold and wife Alexa of Jamestown, RI.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Erwin Joseph Freedman whom she fell in love with at college.
Services will be held privately.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the entire staff at Maplewood Senior Living in Danbury, CT.
Arrangements are by the Chevra Kadisha Association of Newport County.
