Obituary of Ronald Pence
Ronald George Pence of Portsmouth died at Newport Hospital on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 due to complications from Diabetes. He was 69.
Mr. Pence was born on August 10, 1949 to his parents, Earl and Joyce Pence of Pennsylvania. Mr. Pence was a retired Navy Veteran of 23 years of service. Mr. Pence moved to Rhode Island in 1983 and retired as Chief Master at Arms in 1989.
Mr. Pence was an avid wood worker and talented artist. He could often be found in his shed with his tools crafting a wooden toy car for his grandsons. He collected movies and loved watching action films over and over.
Mr. Pence is survived by his Son, Ronald E. Pence and wife Sharon Pence of Middletown, Son John Pence and Amanda LaCroix of Westerly and Daughter Elizabeth Paris and husband Christopher Paris of West Warwick. Ron is also survived by his grandsons Christopher, Logan, Joseph, Jacob, and Fletcher. Mr. Pence was most happy when surrounded by his grandsons.
Mr. Pence will be buried in a private ceremony.
